The Nare Hotel
The Nare is a quintessential English country house hotel by the sea. Situated in a secluded bay, the hotel has stunning sea views over Gerrans Bay and the beautiful Carne Beach, which is quiet even in the height of summer.
The Nare is considered to be one of Cornwall’s most comfortable hotels, where time stands sill and guests can unwind away from the cares of everyday life. It has an extensive range of leisure facilities including the charming Carne Bay Spa. There are also lovely walks along the coastal footpath in both directions.
The Nare’s Traditional Dining Room offers a table d’hote menu which changes nightly. Guests enjoy silver service, the renowned hors d’oeuvres trolley, flambés, and homemade puddings. Local Portloe lobster features daily on the menu, alongside an abundance of fresh seafood.
The Quarterdeck is The Nare’s two-AA-rosette restaurant for morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon cream teas, and evening dining. The restaurant’s classic yachting decor and teak panelling provides a less formal ambience than that of the main dining room. Choose from favourites such as the seafood oyster boat, Portloe crab cakes or the popular Captain’s Cream Tea, which is served with Prosecco.
