A Grade 2* listed property, featured in ‘Poldark’s Cornwall’ (published by Panmacmillan to coincide with the BBC series) is one of four round thatched houses built in 1820 by the Reverend Trist. They are said to have been built in the round so that the devil could not hide, and the crosses on top were intended to keep the devil away.
Close to the Cornish coast path, dog-friendly beaches, coves, pubs and restaurants, gardens, galleries and National Trust properties, you can take it as lively or as quietly as you like at Round House East.
